Sometimes life takes us by surprise.
It comes up behind us from the shadows as we’re walking in a dark dimly-lit street in a car, asking if you’d like a ride. You can’t put your finger on it, but this one time it doesn’t feel creepy at all. You take the ride, hesitant, because it goes against all the Stranger Danger! lectures your parents gave you growing up.
You tell it where you want to go. It doesn’t listen, so you’re scared for a while. But you quickly see that the path it takes has a breathtaking view. The radio plays music so familiar, although you could swear you’ve never heard those songs before.
And the destination…
Well, you don’t see the destination ‘til much later so you have yet to discover whether you were right to get in the car.
Either way things go, you simply know without a doubt in your mind that it was well worth the trip, if only for that view.
