23

So I turned 23 on the 29th.

My life has been… weird. A roller coaster ride, if you want to be cliché about it. But for most of it, I can say it’s been pleasant. More like a bike ride in an eskinita, bumps and garbage and people blocking your way sometimes, but easy enough.

Okay enough analogies and more vague analyses!

Some plans have faltered, failed to push through, or simply pushed back, delayed. But there are those dreams that are within reach, those hopes that I know I can still hold on to. The present is good, and I know the future will be getting even better.

I feel old, sometimes. But, you see, now there’s all the more reason to enjoy the company of older friends! The years I’ve been alive add up, but the age gap never gets smaller. Thank you for helping me feel a little bit better about growing old.

Seriously, thank you to all my friends, acquaintances, family (I’m tempted to say “fans and sponsors.”)… I know I’m a loner by default, but the loved ones I have are cherished. You made my birthday worth celebrating. Though my birthday itself was quiet, my life would not be the same without any of you.

I give you all a virtual group hug. :)

And a HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MEEEEEE!
