I’m the type of person who needs some major loner alone time sometimes. And I haven’t had quality time with myself in a while, so I went to a nearby mall to find it.

In my house, where I’m alone a lot. I’m alone, really, but I’m not:
The TV is there, so I watch it.
The PC is on, so I’m on it.

In the mall, I’m with a lot of people, but I’m not. I’m not really alone, but I am:
I sit at a café with a good book and/or a pen and paper, with my coffee and cigarettes.
Noise, music or both surround me.
Strangers walk all around me.

There’s no TV to watch, no PC to turn on.

So I think.
I read.
I write.

I have nothing but me, my thoughts and my unspoken, written, words.

And in the mall, with a whole bunch of people, I find myself truly, peacefully alone.

  2. I. Oddly enough, this was inspired when I was in a mall that was not in Alabang. :)
(I really did write this on my trusty notebook with my faulty pen. LOL. Trivia!)

II. We’re never free on the weekends without some effort. (Read: VL or swap) Rebels are what we are.
Message me on Facebook or something? We shall discuss. Chenes has party plans. ;)

  3. Yan, nakapagsulat ka rin. :P

Srsly though, I haven’t been much of a social person; well, not until lately. I usually prefer staying alone at home over going out.

  6. I actually shopped that day. A LOT. Ohnooo and oh yesss, the dangers of going to a mall alone.

  7. True. Sometimes my window shopping ends up in actual shopping. it gives me a mad rush but when I count my cash, I realize that I’m screwed. Lol.

  8. […] a bum, or even when I’m not, I’ve spent hours alone at cafés, with nothing more than either a pen and paper to write with, or a book to read. Much needed alone […]
