Just A Thought… About A Thought.

Oddly enough, I find that thoughts, ideas, and sometimes the most difficult decisions come to me oh-so-easily when I’m sitting on my ass thinking of nothing.

Thoughts, they come to me… when I’m not thinking.

Huh.

My, this world is a confusing one.

For A Happy Hollywood Halloween

Not that I have an actual Halloween party to attend, but if I did get an invite from, say, an imaginary friend or two, I think I know what — or who — I’d want to dress up as:

That, as most people of my generation know, is one half of the Olsen twins, Mary Kate. She, who is the apparent style icon for those who want to go for the boho-grunge-rockstar-chic look, is who I want to be for Halloween. Or maybe forever. @_@

I love the black, the gray, the plaid/checked button-downs (Somebody lead me to a store that has non-ridiculously expensive shirts like that PLEASE?), and the general Gorgeous Mess feel. The “I just got out of bed and didn’t have time to brush my hair but I’m fabulous so fuck you I’ll wear what I want to wear” look is the perfect excuse to actually get out of bed and wear the comfiest clothes evarrr while looking fabulous and not have to worry about your hair. It’s so me. (I like excuses.)

Note: Not brushing one’s hair does not necessarily mean one does not shower. Just thought to make that clear kthx.

Also, I love Starbucks.

We’re a match made in heaven, or rather, in Halloween.

Methinks it’s too close to what I would wear in “real life” to actually be a costume… But I just couldn’t stomach the idea of wearing something pink, puffy and filled with fluff. Sorry to disappoint the hardcore Halloween enthusiasts, if any still exist in my age group.

Now because I keep an open mind, I refused to restrict my options. I was considering Amy Winehouse, too. A Cokehead, I know I’m not. But in the spirit of the occasion, I would be willing to dress up like one:

See? How hard can it be? A tank top, frayed jeans, generally tacky appearance and HUGE HAIR. She’s a little 2007, but it’s definitely a look! And…

[One Word] Evidence

Right now, I’ve nothing to write about tons to write about, but none of which should be exposed to the entire World Wide Web. (Yes, believe it or not, I still have my sense of privacy… Somewhat.)

Hence, there is nothing new on my blog. And I want there to be something new. I mean, it’s October! The 2nd “ber” month, meaning it’s almost Christmas!!! Autumn in New York and cold rainy days in Da Pilipins! I should be overwhelmed with inspiration to write! And not with italicized font!

So, recalling a Plurk buddy’s blog entry a while back, I visited OneWord.com.

It’s a handy little tool for writers block (or for boredom, for nerds like me). New words every week, 60 seconds to type what that one word makes you think and voila! You either end up writing crappy senseless lines or it inspires you and pushes you out of that rut.

Today, I got “EVIDENCE”:

It’s evidence of something. Evident of what, exactly? Something. Something someone is hiding somewhere. Somewhere, someone is always hiding something. Anything that’s hidden will come out. Let the evidence speak to you.

Though not the work of a regular genius, it’s not horrifyingly unbelievable terrible. But I think it’s time to admit that I watch wayyy too much CSI.

I shall write again soon — when OneWord puts up a NewWord or I am finally struck by inspiration, whichever comes first. Or at all.
